Biographical Information

Sam Gore is a graduate from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute, in Hendersonville NC. His undergraduate work includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mars Hill College. His graduate work includes studies at Southeastern Theological Seminary, Gardner Webb University School of Divinity and an earned a Masters of Ministry degree with emphasis in Conflict Management from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newberg Indiana. He is certified through Cambridge University in church risk management and safety. He is a member of the American Institute for Parliamentarians an organization dedicated to promoting the use of democratic procedures in meetings. Gore is also trained as a Christian mediator, offering help for churches choosing the Biblical manner of solving conflict, without entering litigation.

His practical experience includes 9 years as professor of Supervised Ministry at Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute 25 years as pastor of churches in North Carolina. He presently is the director of Towards A Fruitful Ministry (a non-profit organization helping churches in risk management), and serves the Baptist State Convention of NC as a contract consultant in the areas of Church Administration. He also serves the churches in the New South River Baptist Association as the resource specialist.

Other than to his Lord, he is committed to his wife of 36 years, Sharon Gore, of the home, whom he describes as, “a committed Christian, a great wife, a close companion and best friend.” He is the father of William Simon (Bill) Gore, his wife Cynthia and daughter Haley Shea Gore of Shallotte NC.
